Emma Farmer
I have owned a Bach at Medlands beach for 12 years, and have been visiting Great Barrier Island summers and winters with my family since my son was six.
My interest in photography started on my OE in South America, but has grown with time and practice. I have always taken photos at Great Barrier, mainly my interest is to capture and reflect something of the uniqueness and beauty of the island. I use my trusty Nikon 5300 and only have two lenses; I have even been known to use my iPhone on occasion. I believe that the essence of a photograph is in your eye not in your lens. I am also a member of the Depot Gallery in Devonport and I am currently undertaking a year long project called “Cheltenham – a year at the beach” documenting the life of a beach over a year. For this project I have ventured into the world of blogging. |
