Ann Sprague lives in Tryphena with her husband Ed Hinson and their wire
haired fox terrier Domino.

They came to Great Barrier Island after Ann
retired from the Department of Planetary Sciences at the University of
Arizona where Ann worked on NASA planetary missions and ran telescopic programs to explore the planets Mercury, Mars and Jupiter and also the Earth's moon.   Ed is a retired Electrical Engineer and electrician who spent the last 35 years of his career in New Zealand.  Ann has one daughter and four grand daughters spanning in age from 11 to 30 years old, each of whom was born and raised on the North Island of New Zealand and is now a practicing artist.   Ed has three children and seven grandchildren.  While not artists, Ann and Ed have a great appreciation
for the arts and Ann values her role as Trustee for the GBI Community Heritage and Arts Village Trust.
